Lindy Hoppers Anonymous Chris and Maren Workshop Weekend

Lindyhoppers Anonymous are proud to present Chris and Maren here in Victoria B.C. February 14th, 15th, and 16th!

We have a weekend full of fun planned for all you crazy dancers out there!

The excitement starts on Friday night at Swing City (108 Niagara St.) House DJ Jason will be facing off with Victoria's own DJ Shortstuff (AKA Harrison). This night is NOT to be missed and is sure to bring out a lot of good music. Admission is $7 for non-students and $5 for students.

Saturday is our first day of workshops, so be prepared to be challenged and worked hard...here is the schedule:

9:30 - 10:00 - Registration
10:00 - 11:15 - Fundamentals in Lindy I
11:30 - 12:45 - Fundamentals in Lindy II
12:45 - 1:30 - Lunch Break
1:30 - 2:45 - Styling and Footwork
3:00 - 4:15 - Fast Lindy

The fun doesn't stop there folks. That night at the Unity Church Hall on 2750 Quadra St. we will be playing good ol' swing music for your dancing pleasure from 8:00 - 12:00 with the tunes from Victoria's own DJ Shortstuff once again AND DJ Plus (AKA Dave)! Cost is only $5 for this night, sure to be filled with new moves and styles.

Sunday will be the last day of this AMAZING weekend; here is the schedule for Sunday's classes:

11:00 - 11:30 - Registration
11:30 - 12:45 - Tricks and Flashy Moves
12:45 - 1:30 - Lunch Break
1:30 - 2:45 - Connection in Lindy
3:00 - 4:15 - Creating Together

This class offers a wide variety of technique, moves and connection that will give the beginner a start and the more experienced dancer a chance to improve their technique. Previous swing dance experience required (East Coast, West Coast or Lindy Hop).

Now you're probably asking yourself how much all this fun is going to cost you. Well, if your cheque is post dated or if you have paid by February 5th then it will only cost you $12 per class or $75 for the ENTIRE WEEKEND of classes! Please note that this package includes classes only, dances must be paid at the door.

For those who's payments are not received by February 5th or whose cheques are not post dated by that date, don't fret, you can still register. Classes will be just $15 apiece or $95 for of them. This package also excludes dances - tickets for dances are only available at the doors.

Coming from out of town? Why not register for hosting, we have a lot of people who are VERY eager to see out of towners here.

	Fundamentals of Lindy Hop 1 February 15, 10:00AM - 11:15AM You'll need: Previous Lindy Hop or West Coast Swing experience. A class for all levels of dancing! This class offers a wide variety of technique, moves and connection that will give the beginner a start and the more experienced dancer a chance to improve their technique. Previous swing dance experience required (East Coast, West Coast or Lindy Hop). - $15
	Fundamentals of Lindy Hop II February 15, 11:30AM - 12:45PM You'll need: Completion of Lindy Hop I. A continuation of Fundamentals of Lindy Hop I. Must complete I before continuing on to II. - $15
	Footwork and Styling February 15, 1:30PM - 2:45PM You'll need: Previous Lindy Hop or West Coast Swing experience. Here's certainly more to dancing than just the moves! They'll give you some flashy and some fun new footwork and styling varitions and they'll help you find some of your personal style, as well. - $15
	Fast Lindy February 15, 3:00PM - 4:15PM You'll need: Previous Lindy Hop or West Coast Swing experience. Be prepared for a workout! They'll teach the technique behind keeping your fast dancing clean, easy and fun, and share some moves and style variations that really only work at faster tempos. - $15
	Tricks and Flashy Moves February 16, 11:30AM - 12:45PM You'll need: Previous Lindy Hop or West Coast Swing experience. Here’s your chance to get out there and strut your stuff! A class that teaches some cool moves to impress people on the dance floor or in a jam circle, or just to add a little spice to your dancing repertoire. - $15
	Connection in Lindy February 16, 1:30PM - 2:45PM You'll need: Previous Lindy Hop or West Coast Swing experience. This class focuses on partnering skills and what can be accomplished with a better communication between the lead and the follow. This class will help you discover a new level in your dancing! - $15
	Creating Together February 16, 3:00PM - 4:15PM You'll need: Previous Lindy Hop or West Coast Swing experience. This is an advanced class in connecting with your partner and adding footwork and styling to your dancing. Move beyond just fitting footwork into moves you know and explore how every moment you can add to the dance and expand on each other's playfulness. Discover increased communication with your partner to create unique dances together! The Connection in Lindy class is HIGHLY recommended for this class. - $15
